Blessed self,
The construction of an Ayyappa- Subrahmannia temple Is
progressing near Kottaramkunnu centre, Punna, at Chavakkad, to
the west of the temple city of Guruvayur, In the sacred soil
where the Ayyappan vilakku had been taking place for past four
decades, which is long cherished dream of all devotees. In March
2000 Ashtamangala Prasnam by renowned astrologer Piravam
Kaipilly Narayanan Namboodiri revealed the earlier presence of a
Glorious temple here. Negligence of the community had caused its
ruin, leading to social calamities and individual suffering. We
have now to redress the sins including Brahmahathya committed.
As per the suggestions of master astrologers, the
Mahamrityunjaya Havanam was performed under the guidance of
Thanthri Brahmmasree Chennas Divakaran iNamboothiripad and
Brahmmasree Chennas Dinesan Namboothiripad in April 2000.
The sacred rites, which followed have propitiated the Gods and
Divine Blessings are increasingly being experienced by one and
all. The reconstruction work of the temple commenced on the
auspicious day of Makaram 1 st (January 15th 2002] with the
Shadadhara Prathishta.
Hon. former chief minister Sri. K.Karunakaran MP. Swami
Mridanandaji maharaj. Thanthri of Sabarimala Thazhaman Madam
Kandararu Mohanaru, Sabarimala Melsanthi Brahmmasree A.R. Raman
Namboodiri, Late Guruvayur Thanthri Brahmmasree Chennas
Divakaran Namboothiripad and others blessed our efforts with
their holy presence here. Their support and encouragement
greatly boost the spirits of the devotees committed to this
noble cause.
The construction of the sanctum sanctorum began with the
foundation stone laying by former chief minister of Kerala Sri.K.
Karunakaran, and will be completed by the next Utharayanam for
the Prathishta to take place.
Buying the required land and the reconstruction of this Ayyappa-
Subrahmannia temple involve a heavy financial commitment as
well, which is possible only by the collective of this all
devotees.
